Is low-fat or whole-fat milk better for kids? Science says it makes no difference
For the first time, researchers assessed children's obesity, body composition, blood pressure, and biomarkers. Whether they ate whole-fat or low-fat dairy, both groups of kids consumed the same amount of calories. Children who ate low-fat dairy consumed fewer calories and fat, so they ate other foods and liquids to make up the difference.

                                What’s a scab?
After your skin has been wounded, a scab grows as a protective tissue covering. A blood clot forms when you scrape your knee or skin, and it gradually solidifies into a protective crust. Your tissue will then regenerate, pushing the scab out of the way to allow new skin to form in its place.A scab, is frequently a sign of healthy healing. However, recovery might take anywhere from days to weeks.

Why is it Important to teach every minute thing to kids while introducing books
As adults, we do not pay much attention to the routine features of books and book handling. We just know that, in English, we read from left to right and from the top to the bottom of a page, that words are separated by spaces, and that sentences begin with capital letters and end with some kind of punctuation mark. We forget that when we were children, we also had to learn these things.

                                Everything about Adolescent Brain Development
The brain develops at a quick pace throughout the first three to five years of life, and by the age of nine, the entire structure and building blocks are in place. Over time, the many centres of the brain develop and become functionally integrated with one another. The prefrontal lobe is the final region of the brain to develop. This occurs during the adolescent years.

On a frosty morning, going around the mulberry bush sounds quite peaceful and harmless, but there's more to the storey than meets the eye. The song is supposed to have begun among inmates, according to a historian. Female inmates, specifically, who would exercise in the vicinity of a mulberry tree at the jail where they were housed.

“Baa, Baa, Black Sheep” isn't the happiest of lullabies, but it's been around for a long time for whatever reason. There appears to be no genuine agreement on what it implies, however there are a few suggestions. It's either about mediaeval wool taxes, which began in 1275, or it's about the Southern United States slave trade. None of this is particularly conducive to a child's sleep routine.

Pre -Diabetes : The stage of Insulin Resistance
If you have insulin resistance, your body can't respond properly to insulin so your pancreas has to make more and more to cope with the build-up of sugar in the blood. Over time, the pancreas stop working. The levels of sugar in the blood rise and stay high. This is called Type 2 diabetes.
Insulin resistance is the stage that comes before Type 2 diabetes. It's also known as pre-diabetes.

                                What are birthmarks?
Birthmarks are markings on your baby's skin that may be permanent or fade over time. There are two main types of birthmark:

Pigmented birthmarks. These are often caused by a collection of tiny blood vessels just beneath the skin.

Flavonoid-Rich Foods Could Improve Gut Health and Reduce Blood Pressure
Flavonoids are antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds found in certain plant foods like red wine, tea, berries, apples, and dark chocolate.
The flavonoids are predominantly metabolized in the gut. What we eat plays a critical role in shaping our gut microbiome but little is known about the relative importance of plant foods and specific constituents called flavonoids.

                                Can alcohol affect your cholesterol?
When you drink alcohol, it’s broken down and rebuilt into triglycerides and cholesterol in the liver. So, drinking alcohol raises the triglycerides and cholesterol in your blood. If your triglyceride levels become high, they build up in the liver, causing fatty liver disease. The liver can’t work as well as it should and can’t remove cholesterol from your blood, so your cholesterol levels rise.

Gestational Diabetes Hinders Language Development in Offspring
Gestational diabetes affects the ability of children to express themselves verbally until they reach middle childhood. In infants born to diabetic moms, genes are highly connected with the likelihood of developmental delays, with kids born to more educated mothers being less affected.
